Destined Rivals Card List: Rarity Guide & Notable Cards
By The Pokécave · Updated August 24, 2026
Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals runs 001–244 in the official card list: cards 001–182 form the main set numbering, and the 62 cards numbered 183–244 carry the set's Illustration Rare, Ultra Rare, Special Illustration Rare and Hyper Rare designations.
Destined Rivals is a Scarlet & Violet-era expansion released on May 30, 2025. Its theme is Trainer's Pokémon — cards tied to a specific Trainer — with the return of Team Rocket; Giovanni, Archer, Ariana, Petrel and Proton all appear alongside Misty, Ethan, Cynthia, Steven, Marnie and Arven.
This is the buyer's version of the card list: how the set is structured, which rarity designations matter when you are deciding what a sealed box or pack might contain, what a sealed booster box costs, and what to check before buying. For the complete card-by-card list, use the official card gallery and checklist linked under Sources below — we link the primary source rather than copying 244 rows here.

How the 244 cards are structured
The official card list runs 001–244. Cards 001–182 form the main set numbering; the 62 cards numbered 183–244 continue above it and carry the set's four high-rarity designations. Rarity designations tell you how a card was printed — they do not tell you what any sealed pack contains.
- Main numbering #001–182 — commons, uncommons, rares and the standard Pokémon ex cards.
- Illustration Rare #183–205 — 23 full-art variants of regular set cards, including Misty's Psyduck and Team Rocket's Meowth.
- Ultra Rare #206–227 — 22 full-art Pokémon ex and Supporter cards, including Team Rocket's Giovanni and Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex.
- Special Illustration Rare #228–238 — 11 alternate-art versions.
- Hyper Rare #239–244 — 6 gold cards; the final designation in the official card list's rarity order.
The notable high-rarity cards
“Chase card” is collector shorthand for the cards people most hope to pull — it is not an official category, and The Pokémon Company does not publish a chase list. The objective, checkable basis for that conversation is the official card list itself: the 17 cards numbered 228–244 carry the set's Special Illustration Rare and Hyper Rare designations. That is a statement about official rarity designations, not a promise of value or of what any pack contains.

What the card list tells a sealed-product buyer
When you buy a sealed Destined Rivals booster box, you are buying a fixed number of sealed packs with unknown contents. The card list tells you which cards exist and which rarity designation each one carries — it cannot tell you what is inside your box, and neither can we. We do not publish pull rates or odds, and you should treat any seller who promises specific pulls with suspicion.
The honest use of the list is the other direction: deciding whether the set's cards are ones you actually want before spending box money. If the Special Illustration Rares above are cards you would be pleased to own, the set suits you; if not, no odds argument changes that.
Checking cards before you buy anywhere
Three checks that work on any marketplace, including ours:
- Verify the card exists — look the name and number up in the official card database before paying for a claimed rare.
- Match artwork to the official gallery — counterfeits of high-rarity cards exist.
- For sealed boxes, buy from listings showing photos of the actual item and its factory wrap — sealed boxes of popular modern sets can be resealing targets.
Our Destined Rivals stock and pricing
We carry the Destined Rivals booster box — sealed and photographed as the actual box. The listing module above shows it whenever it is available with its live USD price, and drops off the moment it sells; we do not take backorders, so a buyable listing means the box is physically in stock and ready to ship. The dedicated Destined Rivals booster box page covers pack counts, cost-per-pack comparisons and box-specific buying checks.
Pricing here is straightforward: the price on the listing is the full USD price you pay, with no hidden extras added at checkout — shipping and taxes, where they apply, are calculated before you confirm. If you are weighing a box against the newest release, our 30th Celebration buying guides compare the current sealed formats side by side.
